Unfinished Project
This was a project i started in Year 11 -  2011 (The beginning of my HSC)
I would draw these black & white circles every time I felt frustrated, stressed, tired or wanting to quit. Then at the end of my HSC I would fill them in with colours of how i felt when it was all over (hopefully with a colourful, vibrant, excited feel)
Basically the concept of progression:
Turning something plaint into a story. Nothing to beautiful
(didn’t get around to completing the artwork at all but have always wanted to!)

Nothing

Zilch… Naught… Nada…

It’s easy to dismiss the concept of nothing as, well, nothing. In fact, nothing is everything to science – understanding the intangible voids has lead to breakthroughs we could never have imagined possible.

"What’s inside an empty bag? Nothing – but isn’t that something?"  - Ian Stewart

"Things are non-existant in this world, there are also things that do nothing. But that doesn’t mean they’re not valuable"David E. Fisher

"Nothingness not being nothing. Nothingness being empty" - Isabelle Adjani

Week 10!
Method: look at another student’s project from assessment 2, What was their process/method?, Can you create a new work using this method?, Identify key ideas in their work. What is the designer trying to communicate?
Sam’s Project:
Concept: Exploration of self: How does he see himself compared to those around him? Researching different perspectives of him self, as well as documenting what others thought of him.

New project:
I didn’t want to explore ideas of myself, so i thought i could explore someone that i knew as well as i knew myself.
My Twin Brother Nathan:
1. I started off with just an image of him, as most people around us would see him (just a person).
2. Then went into show how people in the world would see him: (just a number) - i took numbers such as his birthdate, his favourite number, his football jersey number etc and used these in the outline of his image.
3. I then used an image that i though described him, which is a photo taken when we were 3. (Sweet, innocent and the nicest person you’ll ever meet, white shirt - his favourite ‘colour’)

FINAL

Using lines that i have formed throughout my documentation, i’ve created a video to express the feelings and emotions of music. The movement within the video does not harmonise with the music i had used to create lines.. It is totally at random, leaving it up to the individual to physically feel and interpret their own sounds through feeling what they see personally.

MOVEMENT

10/10 - Documentation Upload

Changing mediums: After producing individual artworks using lines that i had created, i’ve decided to make a video (using iMovie), in which i thought would better attract the audience’ attention as well as force the emotions within the viewer to be a lot stronger.
